Get answers to common questions about Microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion uses a diamond-tip exfoliator to remove dead cells, dry skin, and microscopic debris, revealing smoother, brighter skin. Treatments improve texture, reduce dullness, and include a quick cleanse, toner, moisturizer and SPF for immediate comfort and protection.

Most clients experience only mild discomfort and temporary redness similar to a light sunburn. Sensitivity usually subsides within hours to a day. We’ll customize pressure for your skin, and recommend gentle aftercare like sunscreen and avoiding strong exfoliants for several days.

Many clients notice immediate radiance after one treatment, but a series of 3–6 sessions spaced two to four weeks apart delivers cumulative improvement in texture and tone. Monthly maintenance keeps skin glowing and treats ongoing concerns effectively.

Yes — Microdermabrasion can complement many facials and is offered as an add-on to any facial for $25. Your esthetician will recommend safe combinations and spacing; aggressive chemical peels or laser treatments may need to be scheduled separately to avoid over-exfoliation.

Microdermabrasion isn’t recommended for active acne with open pustules, severe rosacea, sunburned or broken skin, recent chemical peel or laser, or recent isotretinoin use. Always disclose medications and skin conditions during booking so we can assess suitability and suggest safer alternatives.

Protect freshly exfoliated skin with broad-spectrum SPF, gentle cleanser, and lightweight moisturizer. Avoid hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise, and active exfoliants or retinoids for at least 48–72 hours. Follow your esthetician’s personalized instructions for optimal healing and results.
